and if you live in Ward 3, I'm your neighbour. I am a lifelong Hamiltonian, living right here in our community with my wife and daughter. I make my living as a professional data and compliance analyst. My day job is all about digging into the numbers, finding the waste, and holding people accountable. Those are the exact skills City Hall desperately needs right now.
Over the past few years, we may have bumped into each other. Maybe we were talking about local shops while walking down Ottawa Street, rolling up our sleeves together at a neighbourhood alley cleanup, or just chatting in the stands at a Ti-Cats game. Whenever we connect, I hear the exact same frustration from everyone: we are working harder, paying way more in property taxes, and getting less and less back from our city. Under our current councillor, taxes have jumped more than 30 percent in eight years. What did that actually buy us? A microshelter project that ballooned 300 percent over budget, a cyber hack where City Hall dodged accountability at every turn, and a local government that cannot even produce basic, legally required financial updates.
We need a fresh set of eyes on the books. It is time to get back to the basics of serving you. We need to stop throwing our money at expensive consultants, freeze the runaway hiring that added nearly 1,000 new bureaucrats in just four years, and protect our city reserves so we can finally put an end to these punishing tax hikes. Most importantly, we need a councillor who focuses on the local, everyday issues happening right here in our own backyards.
I am not a career politician. I am just a neighbour who wants to
get our community fixed. I will actually listen to you, I will
be fiercely transparent, and I will go to work for you every
